The state regulations prohibit the sale of flavored tobacco products that have not received marketing authorization from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Furthermore, these products cannot be sold to individuals under the age of 21.
The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, the New York Health Foundation, and the CATCH Global Foundation have partnered to launch the CATCH My Breath initiative, aimed at preventing excessive use of e-cigarettes among teenagers. The initiative provides free education and training on preventing e-cigarette use, along with resources for parents, in order to promote the health of middle and high school students.
