On September 22nd, 2firsts obtained electronic cigarette import and export data from the UK Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC). In July, the UK imported electronic cigarettes worth £103 million, representing a 10.16% month-on-month decrease but a substantial 133.83% year-on-year increase. The total weight of imported electronic cigarettes was 3,392,095 kilograms, approximately 3392 metric tons, showing a 10.86% month-on-month decrease but an impressive 249.18% year-on-year growth. The import unit price stood at £30.52 per kilogram, marking a 0.77% month-on-month increase but a significant 33.03% year-on-year decrease.
2firsts also observed that the UK's imports from China accounted for only 75.48% of China's exports to the UK in terms of value and 77.53% in terms of volume.
