BAT to Host Capital Markets Day on October 16th
British American Tobacco (BAT) to showcase smoke-free transformation at investor event in Southampton, aiming for sustainable value creation.

On October 15th, British American Tobacco (BAT) announced on its official website that it will be hosting a Capital Markets Day event for institutional investors and analysts on October 16th at its Innovation Centre in Southampton, UK. BAT stated that the purpose of this event is to demonstrate how the company is combining its scientific, innovative, extensive capabilities, and talent to achieve a smoke-free world, bringing long-term sustainable value to all stakeholders.

BAT CEO Tadeu Marroco and Chief Financial Officer Soraya Benchikh will attend the meeting with their team to provide a detailed overview of BAT's transformation journey.

The company emphasized its plan to become primarily focused on smoke-free products by 2035. This means their goal is to have 50% of the company's revenue coming from smoke-free products by that time. Smoke-free refers to non-combustible items, including vapor products, heated tobacco products, modern oral pouches, and traditional oral smokeless tobacco. Additionally, BAT is expected to achieve low single-digit organic revenue growth and adjusted operating profit growth in the 2024 fiscal year. They aim to achieve 3-5% organic revenue growth and mid single-digit adjusted operating profit growth by 2026, calculated based on organic, constant currency rates.

The speech for this event will begin at 8:30 am on October 16, 2024.
