Brazilian State Launches Education and Prevention Campaign on E-Cigarettes
Paraíba state in Brazil launches an education and prevention campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of e-cigarettes among children and teenagers.

According to a report by WSCOM on January 5th, the state of Paraíba in Brazil has announced the launch of an educational and preventive campaign aimed at increasing children and teenagers' awareness of the dangers of e-cigarettes. This initiative was proposed by congresswoman Francisca Motta and has received the approval of Governor João Azevêdo.

 

According to the event announcement, schools in the state of Paraíba, Brazil, will officially begin implementing this activity empowered by Act No. 13.025/2024 starting from Friday. The detailed content of this act has been published in the official daily newspaper this Friday. The objective of the activity is to raise awareness among teenagers about the dangers of e-cigarettes, aiming to actively prevent and control the potential health risks associated with them.

 

The government of Paraiba state seeks to protect students from the temptation of e-cigarettes in order to maintain their healthy development. This initiative reflects the government's concern for public health and aims to reduce the risks of adolescent exposure to e-cigarettes through educational means.
