Celebrating Amazigh New Year with PMI's IQOS Stores
Philip Morris Maghreb (PMI) is celebrating Morocco's Amazigh New Year "Yd'Ennayer 2974" at all IQOS stores in Casablanca, Rabat, and Marrakech.

According to Moroccan media outlet Lavieeco, Philip Morris International (PMI) celebrated Morocco's Amazigh New Year, "Yd'Ennayer 2974," from January 13th to 14th. The company showcased the splendor of Amazigh culture in all IQOS stores in Casablanca, Rabat, and Marrakesh.

 

Faysal El Kawass, the Director of Smoke-Free Products at PMI Maghreb, expressed his delight in being able to share this unique experience with adult users of our IQOS ILUMA technology in Morocco, while also celebrating Amazigh culture and traditions.

 

As a result, PMI is planning to introduce exclusive promotions aimed at celebrating the start of the Amazig New Year. Additionally, the first batch of customers visiting the stores will be entitled to personalized gifts with Amazig-style designs.

 

Adult users can also win exclusive invitations and collections from Moroccan stylist and designer Yassine Morabit.

OLAF and Customs Authorities From 30 Countries Seize More Than 94 Million Illicit Vape and Heated Tobacco Items
The European Anti-Fraud Office said on April 17 that its “JCO VAPE” operation, carried out together with customs authorities from 30 countries, successfully targeted the illicit trade in e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products. The operation, conducted from November 14 to December 15, 2025, resulted in seizures of more than 94 million items and more than 2,500 kg/l of tobacco products, e-cigarettes, devices, and related goods.

FDA Center for Tobacco Products Acting Director Bret Koplow said at the American Tobacco and Nicotine Forum that the agency has reduced its premarket tobacco application backlog by about 70% over the past year and eliminated the acceptance queue. Bangkok Port Customs on April 28 announced the seizure of 52,000 complete e-cigarettes, 100 gallons of e-liquid and 126,226 canisters of nitrous oxide, with total economic damage exceeding THB 27 million, or about USD 831,178 based on an April 28 USD/THB rate of 32.484. The e-cigarette and e-liquid shipment was valued at THB 5.56 million, or about USD 171,161, while the nitrous oxide shipment was valued at THB 21.27 million, or about USD 654,784.
