PMI Collaborates with Moroccan Artist for Limited Edition IQOS ILUMA Series
Philip Morris International (PMI) collaborates with Moroccan artist Yassine Morabite, launching limited edition IQOS ILUMA series products.

According to a report from Morocco's leseco on December 6th, Philip Morris International (PMI) announced a collaboration with Moroccan artist Yassine Morabite to launch a limited edition IQOS ILUMA series product.

 

PMI has stated that it has drawn endless inspiration from Moroccan art. Through collaboration with an artist who brilliantly combines cultural authenticity with a modern style, PMI is not only seeking to respect the artistic heritage of African Amazigh, but also aiming to make breakthroughs in the heated tobacco experience of IQOS ILUMA.

Malaysia maritime officers seize nearly 16,500 vapes in suspected cross-border smuggling bid
According to Malay Mail and Bernama, Malaysia’s maritime enforcement agency intercepted a suspicious lorry at a jetty in Kedah’s Kuala Sanglang and seized nearly 16,500 vape devices worth more than RM500,000 (about US$125,000). Three men were detained for investigation, and the case is being probed under Malaysia’s Customs Act 1967.

Bangkok Port Customs on April 28 announced the seizure of 52,000 complete e-cigarettes, 100 gallons of e-liquid and 126,226 canisters of nitrous oxide, with total economic damage exceeding THB 27 million, or about USD 831,178 based on an April 28 USD/THB rate of 32.484. The e-cigarette and e-liquid shipment was valued at THB 5.56 million, or about USD 171,161, while the nitrous oxide shipment was valued at THB 21.27 million, or about USD 654,784.

Brazil’s National School Health Survey (PeNSE) 2024 found that e-cigarette experimentation among students aged 13 to 17 rose from 16.8% in 2019 to 29.6% in 2024, while use in the previous 30 days increased from 8.6% to 26.3%. Over the same period, conventional cigarette experimentation fell from 22.6% to 18.5%, and hookah use declined from 26.9% to 16.4%.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the White House is pushing to allow more flavored vape products onto the market for the first time in years, but FDA Commissioner Marty Makary opposes the move and has blocked the plan. According to the latest country-level data released by China’s General Administration of Customs, China’s e-cigarette-related exports totaled about USD 903 million in March 2026, up about 4.4% from roughly USD 865 million a year earlier. The United States, the United Kingdom and Germany remained the top three destinations, while the top 10 markets together accounted for about 72.2% of total exports.
