From September 14th to 16th, the world's largest tobacco industry trade fair InterTabac took place in Dortmund, Germany. China Tobacco International (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "CTI (HK)") showcased a variety of Chinese-style heat-not-burn products at booth 5.A30, attracting numerous overseas customers to stop and learn more.

 

Staff from CTI (HK) told 2FIRSTS that this is the first time since the listing of CTI (HK) in 2019 that they have organized a unified leading group consisting of 11 industrial enterprises, including 16 brands and over 100 new tobacco products of heat-not-burn technology, to participate in the international tobacco exhibition. The participating brands include China Tobacco Hubei Industrial Co.,Ltd's “COO” brand, China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co.,Ltd's MC and Ashima, China Tobacco Sichuan Industrial Co.,Ltd's Kuanzhai, China Tobacco Jiangsu Industrial Co.,Ltd's UGare, China Tobacco Shandong Industrial Co.,Ltd.'s ETER, China Tobacco Henan Industrial Co.,Ltd.'s FARSTAR, as well as CTOM WIN, CTOM ZL, CTOM yin, CTOM HEO, and CTOM TS series products jointly launched by CTI (HK) and several industrial companies from CT branches of Yunnan, Guangxi, Zhejiang, Hunan, and Shandong provinces. These products showcase the technological innovations, style characteristics, and taste quality of Chinese tobacco in the field of new tobacco products, highlighting the unique advantages of Chinese tobacco in international market competition.

According to publicly available information, CTI (HK) serves as the overseas capital operation and international business expansion platform for China Tobacco. It was registered and established in February 2004 and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in June 2019 under the ticker symbol 6055. HK. CTI (HK) is currently engaged in three main businesses: tobacco leaf, duty-free cigarettes, and new tobacco products. In the first half of 2023, CTI (HK) achieved consolidated operating revenue of HKD 7.74 billion, representing a 100% year-on-year increase, and a net profit attributable to the parent of HKD 460 million, representing a 109% year-on-year increase. Additionally, according to its prospectus, CTI (HK) exclusively operates the export of new tobacco products of from China Tobacco to overseas markets (excluding China) around the world.

 

2FIRSTS noticed that numerous overseas customers have shown great interest in the new products of CTI (HK), as evidenced by the constant flow of overseas visitors inquiring at the booth.
