Decline in Youth E-Cigarette Use in US
Teen e-cigarette use in the US hits lowest point in a decade, with 10% using fruit-flavored e-cigarettes in 2023, according to CDC.

According to a press release from Reuters on November 16th, a recent study report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States revealed that the prevalence of e-cigarette use among American teenagers has reached its lowest point in nearly a decade. The proportion of teenagers using flavored e-cigarettes is projected to decrease from 14% in 2022 to 10% in 2023.

 

The significant drop in sales is related to the increase in e-cigarette prices and the policy of raising the minimum purchasing age to 21.

 

According to a study conducted in Brazil, approximately 2.2 million adults in the country regularly use e-cigarettes, and the number is on the rise.
