Derbyshire Trading Standards Agency Busts Store Selling Illegal Tobacco
Police in Derbyshire discovered illegal tobacco and e-cigarette products in a store, with a total retail value of £2500.

According to a report by Derbyshiretimes on May 29th, a store in Derbyshire, England, was found selling illegal tobacco and e-cigarette products by the Trading Standards authority.

 

In this operation, the police seized a total of 3,000 illegal cigarettes, 50 illegal tobacco pouches (50 grams), and 49 non-compliant e-cigarettes, with a total retail value of £2,500.

Russian Finance Ministry has drafted amendments allowing regional governments to ban the retail sale of vapes and e-liquids between September 1, 2026, and September 1, 2031. Bernama reported that comedian Shahmira Muhamad, better known as Shuib Sepahtu, was fined RM10,000 (about US$2,460.93) after pleading guilty to promoting an electronic cigarette product on a YouTube podcast in 2024. The magistrate ordered one month’s jail in default of payment, and he paid the fine.
