Walsall Authorities Crack Down on Illegal Tobacco Sales Operation
Walsall, UK, May 13 - Trading Standards and police raided 5 shops and a van, seizing illegal tobacco worth £20,000.

According to a report from Walsall on May 13th, the Walsall Trading Standards, in conjunction with local police, conducted searches of five retail stores and one commercial vehicle after receiving intelligence about illegal tobacco sales.

 

This action is part of the "CeCe operation" launched jointly by the UK Trading Standards Agency and HM Revenue and Customs, aimed at cracking down on the illegal tobacco market.

 

The department seized over 10,000 cigarettes, 2 kilograms of hand-rolled tobacco, and 700 illegal disposable e-cigarettes, which can deliver up to 15,000 puffs, exceeding the legal limit of 600 puffs. The total value of the confiscated items is approximately £20,000.

 

Currently, local police are continuing to investigate such illegal goods further.
