Four Stores in Lincolnshire Closed for Illegal Cigarette Sales
Four shops in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England, have been shut down for illegal cigarette and e-cigarette sales, authorities discovered.

According to a report from the BBC on May 21st, four shops in Grantham, Lincolnshire, England were closed down for illegally selling cigarettes and e-cigarettes.

 

The local police and officials from Lincolnshire Trading Standards have closed four shops in Grantham after illegal cigarettes and e-cigarettes were found in hidden compartments. The European Food Store and Biedronka on Wharf Road, as well as Jaz Mini Market and Local Stores on Westgate, will be shut down for three months. Anyone entering the properties, except for landlords and emergency services, will face prosecution.

 

The police stated that these products were hidden behind false panels and shelves using "complex magnetic components". Officer Lee Mayfield stated, "Some disposable e-cigarettes provide 9,000 to 15,000 puffs. Typically, disposable e-cigarettes should only have around 600 puffs.

 

Currently, notices have been posted outside the four stores, explaining the reasons for their closure to the public.
