Discount Promotion for BAT Japan's New GLO Hyper Pro Device
BAT Japan launches discount promotion for "GLO Hyper Pro" heated tobacco device, selling at 2,980 yen until March 31.

According to a report from Kakaku on March 31st, BAT Japan is holding a discount promotion for its new heated tobacco device "Glo Hyper Pro" until March 31st. During the promotion, "Glo Hyper Pro" will be sold at a special price of 2,980 yen, which is a discount of 1,000 yen from the manufacturer's suggested retail price of 3,980 yen.

The Energy Marketers of America (EMA) has publicly endorsed the White House’s enforcement campaign against illicit vape shops, saying it will help address the regulatory “gray area” that has emerged since 2020 due to delayed product approvals. EMA noted that a large volume of unauthorized imported disposable e-cigarettes worth about $86.5 million has been seized and called for stronger, more localized enforcement efforts to ease the burden on compliant convenience retailers.

The Unified Patent Court’s Court of Appeal declined on Dec. 29 to revive a European patent held by VMR Products LLC, upholding a finding that the patent is not inventive over earlier devices. The decision said adding a window in the vape’s outer shell to reveal the internal cartridge holding vape liquid was an obvious, routine adaptation based on an earlier U.S. patent and general knowledge.

Authorities in Kazakhstan Seize Over 53,000 Illegal Vape Products in Pavlodar
Kazakhstan’s Financial Monitoring Agency in Pavlodar Region has concluded an investigation into an organised group involved in the illegal sale of vaping products. The group operated through three Telegram-based online shops and used courier delivery services. Authorities seized more than 53,000 items, with a total value exceeding 400 million tenge. The investigation found that students were the primary consumers. Four suspects have been placed in custody and multiple assets have been seized.
