Environmental Organization in Enniscorthy City Tackles Recycling Challenges
Enniscorthy's environmental association members are facing a major recycling challenge with high quantities of e-cigarettes and cans.

According to a report from independent news, members of the environmental organization association in Enniskorthy, Ireland, carry out environmental activities every Sunday in the town and its surrounding areas. Additionally, some members also participate in cleaning activities during their free time.

 

Members share the garbage information they have collected on a forum called ChangeX, where they can showcase and exchange their collections, along with the different types of waste they have gathered.

 

However, many members have complained that a significant number of recyclable items, such as discarded e-cigarettes and cans, among the waste they collect, have become a major issue for recycling.

 

Despite facing various challenges, the Enniscorthy Urban Conservation Association has achieved a silver award for the first time in this year's competition.

Japan Tobacco International (JTI) is expanding its Ploom heated product ecosystem with LYO tobacco-free nicotine sticks. Designed specifically for Ploom devices, LYO contains nicotine but no tobacco. Public information shows that the product has gradually entered several European markets, including Spain, Portugal and Germany, and was officially introduced in Romania in July 2026. The launch highlights JTI’s efforts to explore broader nicotine consumable formats beyond traditional tobacco-based sticks.

South Korean electronics component supplier ITM Semiconductor is reshaping its business portfolio after a decline in Apple-related protection circuit business, expanding its supply of vape devices and cartridges to KT&G. The UK High Court has ordered Chinese vape manufacturer Shenzhen SKE Technology to provide £569,039 ($776,000) in security for costs in its design infringement proceedings against Vapepen London and other defendants over its Crystal Bar vape product.
