FDA to Host Webinar Celebrating 10th Anniversary of "The Real Cost" Campaign
FDA to host webinar to celebrate 10th anniversary of "The Real Cost" youth tobacco prevention campaign on June 11.

According to a recent announcement on the official website of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the FDA will be hosting a webinar on June 11th from 3:00 to 4:15 pm EST to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the award-winning "The Real Cost" youth tobacco prevention campaign.

 

The speaker will discuss the impact of tobacco use on adolescents and the importance of public education in regulating tobacco products comprehensively at this conference. They will also emphasize the adaptability of the event, successful case studies, future prospects, as well as media positioning, creative development, and best practices aimed at adolescents.

 

The agenda for this seminar is as follows:

 

The agenda begins at 3:00 pm. Dr. Brian King, Director of the Tobacco Center, will be speaking.

 

3:10 pm seminar keynote address - The Power of Prevention: Building on a Decade of Success in Public Education and Youth Tobacco Prevention

 

Question and answer session at 4:00 pm

 

The online seminar will be free to attend, but registration is required beforehand with no deadline. The seminar can be accessed via computer or mobile phone, and live captions and American Sign Language interpretation will be provided on-site.

Virginia has asked the Fourth Circuit to overturn a district court order that partially blocked enforcement of the commonwealth’s flavored vape ban. In a notice, the state told U.S. District Judge David J. Novak it seeks to upend his December ruling that Virginia’s Chapter 23.2 statute is preempted by the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act.

Altria has released its full-year 2025 results, reporting full-year net revenues of $23.279 billion, down 3.1% year over year. NJOY posted $21 million in net revenues in Q4, while full-year net revenues were negative $13 million (mainly due to returns and related factors).

Uzbekistan will enforce a total ban on the circulation of electronic nicotine delivery systems from March 1, covering legal sales, storage and imports.
