The main aspects under inspection include whether there are signs or stickers displayed, and whether smoking or e-cigarette usage within prohibited areas is being adhered to.

Furthermore, there will be continuous guidance and inspections on designated smoking areas, such as public facilities, kindergartens within 10 meters of the perimeter, and designated non-smoking areas in residential areas, as well as those specified by the Lichuan County regulations. For minor infractions, immediate corrective measures will be taken on-site, while significant violations may result in fines or other strong penalties.

A violation of this major issue results in a fine of 1.7 million Korean won (approximately $1,222), with the second violation leading to a fine of 3.3 million Korean won, and the third violation amounting to a fine of 5 million Korean won. Smokers in designated no-smoking areas such as public areas, urban parks, bus stops, and residential areas in Gyecheon County, are subject to a fine of 100,000 Korean won, while smokers in these areas are fined 50,000 Korean won.

The director of the health center, Annan, said, "We hope that this joint guidance inspection will serve as an opportunity for promoting a smoke-free culture within our jurisdiction. We will make every effort to create a comfortable smoke-free environment and prevent the harm of secondhand smoking.
