According to recent reports by local Turkish media outlet Beyazgazete, a company suspected of illegal cigarette production in the Didim district of Aydın was subjected to a surprise raid by the police. During the operation, law enforcement confiscated a total of 18,600 illicit cigarette rolling papers.

 

In the course of an internal investigation within the company, the police have seized not only 18,600 illegal tobacco rolls but also 9 kilograms of untaxed tobacco without tax stamps, 350 grams of untaxed waterpipe tobacco, 25 untaxed cigar cigarettes, 10 e-cigarettes, and 6 bottles of e-liquid.

 

During this operation, business owner Y.S. (real name) has undergone the necessary procedures due to allegations of violating SKM regulation 5607. The legal proceedings pertaining to this matter are currently ongoing.
