Illegal Smuggling Operation Uncovered by Border Customs in Poland
Polish border customs officials discovered over 41,000 illegal e-cigarette products and wine worth over $660,000 in Przemyśl.

According to Radio.Rzeszow's report on February 15th, the border customs department in Przemyśl, Poland discovered 12,400 bottles of e-cigarette liquid without tax stamps during a routine inspection at a goods sorting center using X-ray scanning equipment.


Subsequently, customs officials discovered during a thorough investigation 26,700 bottles of e-cigarettee-liquid, 42,000 e-cigarettes, and over 3,300 liters of wine. If these untaxed products were to enter the black market, it could result in financial losses exceeding 2.6 million Polish zloty (660,000 USD) for the country.


Two suspects have been accused by the police of importing goods without fulfilling customs procedures and storing items without tax labels.
