According to teenagers, their primary reason for trying e-cigarettes is curiosity (66%) and also because their friends are vaping (29%).
A new study presented at the European Respiratory Society International Congress in Barcelona has found that young people are 51% more likely to experiment with smoking.
Professor Luke Clancy, director of the research institute, stated that "we have found that an increasing number of Irish teenagers are using electronic cigarettes, which is a trend that is being observed in other parts of the world.
