According to Mynavi News, Japan Tobacco (JT) said it has partnered with Japanese musician Ichiro Yamaguchi to release five co-branded front panels and two co-branded accessories for its heated tobacco device, Ploom AURA, to be rolled out in phases through limited sales and a prize draw.

The report said JT will begin limited sales on Jan. 27 for two front panels titled “Ploom AURA Front Panel Yamaguchi Ichiro LIMITED EDITION,” each with a suggested retail price of 1,980 yen (about $12.5).

The products will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on Jan. 27 via the CLUB JT online store, and will also be available at Ploom Shops nationwide in Ginza, Nagoya, Namba and Tenjin. In-store purchases require presentation of CJT membership credentials. JT said the collaboration is part of its Ploom AURA promotional project, “SENSATIONAL.”

In addition to the items sold publicly, JT will run a prize draw on the “SENSATIONAL” section of the Ploom CLUB website. Prizes include three co-branded front panels available only through the draw—“Rokushō” (verdigris), “Kintsugi,” and “Rosewood”—as well as two co-branded accessories: a Kaikado co-branded stick case and a Kamide Choemon Kiln co-branded stick tray. The draw will run from Jan. 19 to Feb. 28, with prizes expected to be shipped sequentially from March 2026. The Ploom AURA device itself is not included.

JT will also release co-branded video content featuring Yamaguchi and plans to distribute it from Jan. 19 across internet TV platforms such as Abema and TVer, the official Ploom Instagram account, Ploom Shops nationwide, and selected smoking areas. From Jan. 27, filming props will also be displayed for a limited time at the Ploom Shop in Ginza.
