JTI's 'Ploom X' Special Edition Launch Event in Milan
JTI's "Ploom X Special Edition" heats up in Milan flagship store, featuring designer Greta Liberato's "Golden Honey" collection.

According to the Italian news source Affaritaliani, the launch event of Japan Tobacco International's (JTI) heated tobacco device "Ploom X Special Edition" at the flagship store in Milan received a warm welcome.

 

In order to celebrate the release of the limited edition device "Copper Glaze," fashion and jewelry designer Greta Liberato was invited to participate in the event. She showcased her jewelry brand Pepper Chocolate's new collection "Golden Honey" at the party.

 

This event is part of the widespread activities of the Ploom X series, giving participants the opportunity to test the functionality of the equipment.

Portugal is among the countries opposing the UK Tobacco and Vapes Bill, which would ban tobacco sales to people born on or after Jan. 1, 2009. According to the report, Portugal, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Slovakia and Romania have submitted reasoned opinions and formal observations to Brussels, arguing that the bill breaches post-Brexit arrangements including the Windsor Framework.

China Tobacco Yunnan Patent Describes Cigar Flavor Granules With Encapsulation Rate Above 77%
According to public records from China’s National Intellectual Property Administration, a patent application filed by China Tobacco Yunnan Industrial Co., Ltd. for “cigar flavor granules” was published on May 12, 2026. The filing proposes purifying an ethanol extract of cigar tobacco leaves using LX-8 macroporous resin, followed by encapsulation with maltodextrin and sucrose fatty acid ester to improve smoking comfort, reduce dryness and enhance aroma release stability in reconstituted tobacco.

Ukrainian Media: Polish Vape Distributor Evapify Allegedly Linked to Russian Businessman Named in U.S. “Russia Oligarch Report”
According to an investigative report by Euromaidan Press, a Ukrainian English-language independent media outlet, Russian businessman Oleg Boyko has been sanctioned by Ukraine, Poland, Australia and Canada, but has not been added to the European Union’s sanctions list. The report alleges that Evapify, a Polish vape distributor with financial and personal ties to Boyko, holds a significant position in Poland’s disposable vape market.
