JTI's 'Ploom X' Special Edition Launch Event in Milan
JTI's "Ploom X Special Edition" heats up in Milan flagship store, featuring designer Greta Liberato's "Golden Honey" collection.

According to the Italian news source Affaritaliani, the launch event of Japan Tobacco International's (JTI) heated tobacco device "Ploom X Special Edition" at the flagship store in Milan received a warm welcome.

 

In order to celebrate the release of the limited edition device "Copper Glaze," fashion and jewelry designer Greta Liberato was invited to participate in the event. She showcased her jewelry brand Pepper Chocolate's new collection "Golden Honey" at the party.

 

This event is part of the widespread activities of the Ploom X series, giving participants the opportunity to test the functionality of the equipment.

South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said on April 17 that it has additionally designated the International Characterization Research Institute as a tobacco harmful components testing body under the Act on the Management of Tobacco Harmfulness. The institute has research experience in analyzing harmful components in liquid e-cigarettes and has obtained recognition for tobacco-sector ISO 17025 requirements.

Philip Morris Japan announced that it will launch “TEREA Blossom Pearl,” a new tobacco stick for IQOS ILUMA, on May 11. The new product will expand the TEREA lineup to 27 variants. It features a capsule menthol flavor with strawberry and subtle herbal notes and is priced at JPY 620, or about USD 4.14 based on an assumed rate of 1 JPY = 0.00668 USD. Japan will raise tobacco product taxes and corporate income tax from April 1 as part of a package of levies to help fund a five-year defense spending increase totaling JPY 43 trillion. Japan Tobacco (JT) has introduced the new Nordic Spirit nicotine pouch brand in Japan. The Cola Fizz Medium flavor began early sales on March 3, 2026 via the CLUB JT online shop, and will be rolled out sequentially from April 6 through nationwide channels including 7-Eleven, Lawson, and NewDays. The Berry Mix Medium flavor is expected to launch on CLUB JT around mid-March.
