
According to Kentucky Today on July 15th, the fourth part of a new law passed by the Kentucky state legislature in 2024 will go into effect on Monday, as it is the 90th day after the legislature adjourned.
This includes a law concerning e-cigarette regulations.
House Bill 142 will prohibit all tobacco, alternative nicotine, and e-cigarette products within public schools in Kentucky, and require school districts to establish disciplinary procedures for students who violate the ban.
The House and Senate members will not convene in the Capitol until January 2025 for the regular session, unless Governor Andy Beshear calls a special session in Frankfort for legislators to attend.
