According to Businesskorea, KT&G, a South Korean company, has been selected as the "Best Governance Structure Company" at the "2023 Korea ESG Standard Organization Excellence Awards Ceremony". KT&G has consistently demonstrated sound board operations and has been highly acclaimed for its board-centered company management approach.

The Texas Supreme Court issued a case summary on May 8, 2026, describing its decision in Hancock v. RJR Vapor Co. LLC. The dispute centered on whether RJR Vapor’s VELO oral nicotine pouches are taxable as “tobacco products” under the Texas Tax Code. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced on May 5, 2026 that it authorized the marketing of four Glas electronic nicotine delivery system (ENDS) products through the premarket tobacco product application (PMTA) pathway.
