According to Businesskorea, KT&G, a South Korean company, has been selected as the "Best Governance Structure Company" at the "2023 Korea ESG Standard Organization Excellence Awards Ceremony". KT&G has consistently demonstrated sound board operations and has been highly acclaimed for its board-centered company management approach.

The UK Tobacco and Vapes Bill is set to return to the House of Lords on April 20 for consideration of Commons amendments in the parliamentary “ping pong” process. The bill aims to create the first “smoke-free generation” by ensuring that children turning 15 this year or younger can never legally be sold tobacco. It also seeks to enable product and information requirements to be imposed in connection with tobacco, vapes, and other products.

Namibia Moves to Tighten Laws on E-Cigarettes and Emerging Nicotine Products
Namibia is moving to tighten regulation of e-cigarettes and other emerging nicotine products as part of broader tobacco control efforts. Deputy health minister Susan Ndjaleka said the government is reviewing the Tobacco Products Control Act to close regulatory gaps and address emerging tobacco products. Namibia is also working toward joining the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products in order to curb the black market and protect public revenue.

More Than 500 Stores in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod Region Voluntarily Stop Selling Vapes
According to the Nizhny Novgorod regional government, 550 stores in the region have voluntarily removed vapes and e-liquids from their product assortments. Regional officials said a public offer encouraging businesses to self-restrict vape sales has been in place since September 2025, and that a large retail chain with more than 40 outlets in Nizhny Novgorod joined the initiative. The regional government also said a federal ban on vape sales is expected in the near future.

U.S. Food and Drug Administration published a Federal Register notice finalizing the addition of 18 constituents to the established list of Harmful and Potentially Harmful Constituents in tobacco products. With the update, the list now contains 111 constituents. FDA also proposed adding three more constituents to the list and opened a public comment period ending at 11:59 p.m. ET on May 26, 2026.
