According to a report by the Yorkshire Post today, "Kubus International Food Store" located in the city center of Wakefield, United Kingdom, has been seized with around £2,000 worth of smuggled cigarettes and illegal e-cigarettes. Councillors are now contemplating revoking the business license of the store.
According to police and trading standards officials, during their investigation into the store located in Kirkgate, they discovered the aforementioned illegal items. Additionally, the management department stated that the holder of the shop's operating license has also been engaging in violations of business regulations, as they allowed a customer to purchase a single can of apple cider.
Public health official Chris Wathen has also requested a hearing, stating, "In my view, there is no question that illicit tobacco and cigarettes have been kept in areas of the building that are clearly designated for public sales."
