Japan Tobacco Inc. launches new "Mevius baize option" product under Ploom X ADVANCED brand, featuring pear and mint flavors.

According to sources from Japan's Kakaku, Japan Tobacco Inc. has globally launched a new product under its heated tobacco brand "Ploom X ADVANCED" on March 18th, called "Mevius baize option".

This product is marketed for its unique "pear flavor" and 100% natural mint extract, containing 20 electronic pods with a refreshing mint taste. All mint flavors included in this product come from natural sources. It is priced at 500 yen.

Philippines Customs data showed that illegal cigarettes and vape products seized during the first seven months of 2026 were valued at about PHP11.68 billion, exceeding the PHP2.516 billion recorded for the full year of 2025.
