Police in Uralk District Arrested Illegal E-cigarette Sellers on September 13th
According to Polisia.kz on September 13th, the criminal police department of the Uralk police station in Kazakhstan arrested a 25-year-old local resident for selling e-cigarettes through a Telegram channel.
The suspect used express delivery to distribute e-cigarettes. During a search at a liquor market in Uralck, police discovered a warehouse containing 1,099 e-cigarettes and 1,300 bottles of e-cigarette liquid. The seized items had a total value exceeding 10 million rubles (approximately $20,000) and included various e-cigarette brands such as "ELFBAR.
In addition, two downtown residents engaged in the illegal sale of prohibited e-cigarettes were arrested by the police. During a personal search, 10 e-cigarettes and a box of e-cigarette liquid were found.
At the same time, police officers from the organized crime department in West Kazakhstan region also arrested a taxi driver who was illegally selling e-cigarettes through a Telegram channel, seizing 8 e-cigarettes.
All of the aforementioned cases have been registered, with related investigations currently underway.
It is worth noting that since the law banning the sale and distribution of smokeless tobacco products, e-cigarettes, flavorings, and their e-liquids came into effect, the police in the Western Kazakhstan region have seized over 1200 e-cigarettes, more than 1500 bottles of e-cigarette liquid, and related devices.
