Police Seize 30 Smuggled E-Cigarettes in Samsun
In a recent report by Ihlas News Agency, KOM police in Samsun seized 30 smuggled e-cigarettes. Investigation underway.

Recently, according to a report by İhlas News Agency, the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Police (KOM) in Samsun have apprehended 30 smuggled e-cigarettes. It is understood that a team from the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department (KOM) of the Samsun police station conducted tracking and operations in the İlkadım district, leading to the seizure of 30 smuggled e-cigarettes. Currently, an investigation has been launched into an individual connected to this incident.

Philip Morris Korea to Launch IQOS Iluma i One “Electric Purple” Color, Expanding Into Major Convenience Store Channels From May
Philip Morris Korea said on March 31 that it will begin selling the new “Electric Purple” color for the heated tobacco device IQOS Iluma i One at major convenience stores nationwide in South Korea starting May 2. The color will first be introduced on April 10 at the official IQOS online store and nine IQOS directly operated stores nationwide. To mark the expansion of its sales channels, the company will run promotions at major convenience stores through May 20.

Net revenue from modern oral nicotine products was $41.3 million, up 266% year over year.

HM Revenue and Customs announced that from April 1, 2026, UK vaping product manufacturers, importers and warehousekeepers can apply for approval under Vaping Products Duty (VPD) and the Vaping Duty Stamps Scheme (VDS). Under new GOV.UK guidance, Vaping Products Duty will take effect on October 1, 2026 and will apply to all vaping liquids, whether they contain nicotine or not.

South Korea’s Ministry of Food and Drug Safety said on April 17 that it has additionally designated the International Characterization Research Institute as a tobacco harmful components testing body under the Act on the Management of Tobacco Harmfulness.
