Police Seize 30 Smuggled E-Cigarettes in Samsun

In a recent report by Ihlas News Agency, KOM police in Samsun seized 30 smuggled e-cigarettes. Investigation underway.

Recently, according to a report by İhlas News Agency, the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Police (KOM) in Samsun have apprehended 30 smuggled e-cigarettes. It is understood that a team from the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Department (KOM) of the Samsun police station conducted tracking and operations in the İlkadım district, leading to the seizure of 30 smuggled e-cigarettes. Currently, an investigation has been launched into an individual connected to this incident.

Listed on Euronext Access Paris in 2019 and later transferred to Euronext Growth Paris, Kumulus Vape is viewed as a representative company of Europe’s vape sector. Breaching a closure order can carry penalties of up to A$2.5 million and 20 years in prison.

JTI said a finished goods warehouse in Kyiv Oblast was destroyed, with no employees injured, and that it did not expect disruptions to retail supplies. Imperial Brands Ukraine said products stored at warehouses of distributors and retail partners were affected and estimated losses from the strikes at “tens of millions of Ukrainian hryvnias” (roughly hundreds of thousands of U.S. dollars).

(JT) has applied to Japan’s finance minister for approval to revise retail prices of its Ploom heated tobacco sticks following planned changes to the heated tobacco tax system from October 1, 2026. GSTHR Estimates 200 Million People Use Non-Combustible Nicotine Products as 28 Countries Show Rising Use Alongside Falling Smoking Rates

The Global State of Tobacco Harm Reduction, a project operated by Knowledge·Action·Change, estimates that about 200 million people worldwide use non-combustible nicotine products including vapes, heated tobacco, nicotine pouches and snus. Its 2026 report says use of these products rose alongside declining smoking rates in 28 countries it analyzed. The data do not establish that all 200 million users have quit smoking, nor do they prove a direct causal relationship. GSTHR also says regulatory restrictions on the products continue to expand in many markets.
