Public Support for Restricting E-cigarette Use Grows in Moscow
Over 800 suggestions to restrict e-cigarette use received in two weeks on 'stopvape.moscow' website, majority support complete ban.

According to a report from Mskagency on April 23, a website called "stopvape.moscow" has received over 800 suggestions for restricting e-cigarette use in just two weeks. Moscow City Duma Chairman Alexey Shaposhnikov announced this news on his Telegram channel.

We received over 800 suggestions on the 'stopvape.moscow' website regarding restrictions on e-cigarette use, with over 80% of people in favor of a complete ban on e-cigarette use. The remaining individuals suggested limiting sales or introducing stricter usage rules.

Furthermore, widely accepted proposals include: raising the minimum age limit for sales to 21, prohibiting the addition of sweet flavors to e-cigarettes, allowing only nicotine-free e-liquids, restricting sales, and increasing fines for selling to minors.

These recommendations demonstrate widespread public support for measures to combat the spread and use of e-cigarettes among minors, indicating that our federal legislation targeting adolescents is timely and in line with the expectations of Moscow residents.
