According to a report by Russian.rt on April 22nd, data from "Takskom" shows that the average price of disposable e-cigarettes in Russia has increased by 18% in 2024, reaching around 1300 rubles (13.85 US dollars), while sales have decreased by 31% compared to the previous year (2023).

In addition, the average price of cigarettes in 2024 was 202 rubles ($2.15). "The average price increased by 10%, while sales decreased by 2%"; the average price of heated tobacco products was around 1000 rubles ($10.65), with a 1% decrease in sales; and the average price of tobacco heating sticks was 222 rubles ($2.36), with a 9% increase in price and a 1% increase in sales.

Russian State Duma representative Sultan Hamzaev stated that last year Russia passed "a significant amount of anti-smoking laws".

Practice has shown that these laws are necessary and effective. In other words, we have completely banned advertising, everything must be shut down, rather than simply closing it in store windows as with traditional tobacco products.

In addition, he added that the affordability of products with nicotine content is always a negative factor. "Therefore, price increases are the right trend, and this process must be continuous, reasonable, and done in this way."
