Recently, Matthew Meyers, president of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids of America, criticized Reynold's citizen petition.

Earlier, Reynolds American Inc. submitted a citizen petition to the FDA asking it to enact regulatory measures for disposable e-cigarettes strictly.

The company singled out the Puff Bar and Elf Bar because of their growing use among young people.

The petition also calls for increased enforcement of single-use products by increasing retail inspections and confiscating single-use products at U.S. borders.

Recently, Matthew Meyers, president of the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, criticized Reynold's petition. Matthew Meyers believes it is shameless and hypocritical for the tobacco giant Reynolds American to ask the FDA to crack down on disposable e-cigarettes under the guise of caring for children because Reynolds's Vuse is the second most popular e-cigarette brand among underage.

Matthew Meyers also said that since Vuse is marketing to young teenagers, Reynolds should consider withdrawing from its competition for the youth market.
