Russian State Duma Chairman proposes comprehensive ban on e-cigarette
Russian Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin proposes cross-party legislation to ban e-cigarette sales with broad support from factions.

According to a report from the Duma on January 20th, Vyacheslav Volodin, the Chairman of the Russian State Duma, stated that almost all factions support a complete ban on the sale of e-cigarettes.

During a meeting at the National Duma, Volokin proposed preparing a bipartisan legislative proposal to ban the sale of e-cigarettes and their related e-liquids, with the aim of having it reviewed before the end of the current session.

Currently, the State Duma Health Protection Committee is preparing for the first review of two related bills. Volochkova pointed out that considering almost all factions support a comprehensive ban on the sale of e-cigarettes, preparing a corresponding cross-party proposal is a wise move.
