2Firsts — November 18, 2025 — According to The Straits Times，Two Malaysian men were arrested at Singapore’s Woodlands Checkpoint in separate cases on November 15 for allegedly importing more than 2,000 vape-related items into the country, The Straits Times reported.

Lim Teck Wee, 19, and Muhammad Amirul Iqbal Mohd Nazri, 21, were each charged with three counts of unlawful importation of prohibited goods.

Lim was caught shortly before 9am with 870 disposable vapes and 200 boxes of pods (each containing three pods). Amirul was stopped around 8pm the same day and allegedly imported 1,000 e-vaporiser devices into Singapore.

Both cases have been adjourned to December 15 for further mention. Authorities reminded the public that the import, sale, or possession of vaping products is strictly prohibited in Singapore and carries heavy penalties including fines and imprisonment.
