An American man has been stealing tobacco products for a long time, with losses exceeding tens of thousands of dollars in cigarettes and e-cigarettes.
According to the US media outlet FOX2 NEWS, a man in St. Louis, USA, has been charged with stealing over $11,000 worth of cigarettes and e-cigarettes earlier this year.
The possible crime report from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department indicates that these theft incidents occurred between January 20th and February 26th, at the Circle K store located at 3200 Jameson Avenue and the Family Dollar store in the first block of South Avenue.
A report has exposed that 31-year-old Eric D. Marion is suspected of committing serious crimes. Police say he stole 100 e-cigarettes from a Circle K store on January 20th, multiple boxes of cigarettes from a Family Dollar store on January 29th, 60 boxes of cigarettes from another Circle K store on February 16th, and 8 boxes of cigarettes on February 26th.
The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office has charged Marion with theft and three counts of stealing under $750.
Prosecutors believe that Marion has a criminal record of three thefts in the past 10 years. These thefts have led to serious legal issues for him and ultimately landed him in trouble with the law. Police remind the public that no criminal behavior can remain hidden forever and will eventually face the appropriate legal consequences.
