Staffordshire County Council Seizes Over £50,000 Illegal Tobacco Products
Staffordshire County Council officials seize over £50,000 worth of illegal tobacco products in recent raid, including 71,000 cigarettes.

According to a report from Expressandstar on April 26th, officers from the Trading Standards department of Staffordshire County Council in England recently confiscated illegal tobacco products with a retail value exceeding £50,000 during a search operation.

 

In this operation, the department seized over 71,000 illegal cigarettes and 50 kilograms of hand-rolled tobacco.

The measure sets application requirements for tobacco, nicotine, and vapor product licenses, governs batch licensing, renewals, ownership changes, and denial grounds, and requires the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control to publish application forms and related regulations within 30 days of the law’s effective date.
