Three Vietnamese Men Arrested for Smuggling Drugs in E-cigarettes

Three Vietnamese nationals were arrested in Fukuoka for smuggling e-cigarette devices with narcotics, facing prosecution by authorities.

According to a report from Livedoor.News on August 1st, three Vietnamese men were arrested and charged for allegedly smuggling e-cigarette devices containing narcotics into the country.

The suspects in this case include three Vietnamese men, including 25-year-old Nguyen Chun Gia, a student at a vocational school in Fukuoka City's central district. The Kyushu Health and Welfare Bureau's Narcotics Suppression Division stated that these three men smuggled 280 grams of e-liquid containing narcotics from Vietnam in May of this year using international postal mail, with the intention of selling it.

Law enforcement officers at Fukuoka Airport seized 100 e-cigarette devices containing liquid drugs. The suspects admitted to illegally selling around 50 of these devices to acquaintances each month for prices ranging from 10,000 to 30,000 yen.
