Ultimately, customs officers discovered a large quantity of smuggled goods in the vehicles, including e-cigarettes, beauty products, and clothing, with an estimated total value of 883,000 dinars (approximately $288,000).
The Tunisian government has stated that it will continue to strengthen border patrols and crack down on smuggling to ensure the stability of the country's economy and social order.
