According to Turess on August 7th, the Tunisian customs guard caught a shipment of smuggled goods in a counter-smuggling operation on the southwestern border, which included over 3000 e-cigarettes.


According to reports, during the operation, the customs patrol team found two foreign-registered vehicles failing to stop as instructed. Ultimately, customs officers discovered a large quantity of smuggled goods in the vehicles, including e-cigarettes, beauty products, and clothing, with an estimated total value of 883,000 dinars (approximately $288,000).


The Tunisian government has stated that it will continue to strengthen border patrols and crack down on smuggling to ensure the stability of the country's economy and social order.
