Turkish Customs Seize Electronic Cigarette Parts and Devices.
Turkish customs officials seize $117k worth of e-cigarette parts and devices from tobacco smugglers at multiple checkpoints.

The customs enforcement team conducted operations to combat tobacco smugglers at the Sarp and Habur border crossings and Antalya airport, according to a written statement from the Turkish Ministry of Commerce.

Individuals and vehicles identified as suspects in the group's risk analysis and intelligence research, as well as during on-site patrols and daily monitoring, were subjected to careful inspections. The possessions and vehicles of suspects under close surveillance were subjected to X-ray inspections at customs inspection stations.

During a thorough search of personal belongings and vehicles, authorities seized 905 electronic cigarette parts and 6,400 electronic cigarettes worth 810,000 Turkish Lira.

Although the electronic cigarette and its components, as well as the e-cigarette box, have been confiscated, the investigation into the suspect is still ongoing.
