Vietnam Customs Strengthen Crackdown on E-cigarette and Heated Tobacco Smuggling
Vietnam's Guangning Customs intensifies crackdown on smuggling of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products, tightening inspections at all ports.

According to the report from Thuonghieu Cong Luan on May 22nd, Vietnam's Guangning Customs recently instructed all customs sub-agencies to strictly guide their teams to enhance efforts to combat the smuggling of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products.

Guangning Customs requires all departments to strictly follow customs procedures and enhance strict inspection and supervision of imported and exported goods, temporary entry and exit goods, bonded warehouses, transit goods, ship crews and crew members, luggage carried by inbound and outbound passengers, and their service tools to prevent e-cigarette, heated tobacco smuggling, and illegal transportation.

Guangning Customs is determined to crack down on the smuggling of e-cigarettes. They emphasize the importance of enhancing customs supervision measures and actively coordinating with port customs and various border departments to prevent, combat, detect, and punish the smuggling and illegal transportation of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products.

In addition, it calls for all units to actively coordinate with national frontline and local solidarity organizations, news agencies, and media outlets to strengthen propaganda efforts on the harms of e-cigarettes and heated tobacco products, especially targeting the special group of young people.
