VPZ Opens New Store in Lanark with E-cigarette Recycling Service
VPZ opens new e-cigarette store in Lanark, offering recycling services to support UK government's environmental efforts.

According to a report by the Daily Record on September 12th, the well-known UK e-cigarette retailer VPZ has opened a new store in Lanark. The opening in the town also includes an e-cigarette recycling service, as part of its commitment to helping improve the local environment in the UK.


VPZ supports the UK government's plan to ban disposable e-cigarettes.


The director of VPZ, Doug Mutter, stated that


We are proud to open a store in Lanark and introduce our innovative recycling service to address the environmental issues caused by disposable e-cigarettes. We also offer affordable and reusable alternatives to support adult smoking cessation.


VPZ Lanark is set to benefit from a recent partnership between VPZ and WasteCare, which will see the rollout of a nationwide e-cigarette recycling service in the UK, open to all e-cigarette users.


VPZ Lanark specializes in e-cigarette products and is the 172nd store of this retailer.

The UK High Court has ordered Chinese vape manufacturer Shenzhen SKE Technology to provide £569,039 ($776,000) in security for costs in its design infringement proceedings against Vapepen London and other defendants over its Crystal Bar vape product. The court did not accept the defendants’ main argument that recovering costs from a China-based company would face significant enforcement obstacles, but found that SKE had not sufficiently disclosed its own financial position. The order is procedural and does not determine the underlying infringement claims.

South Korea Vape Strategies Diverge as BAT Reconsiders Exit and PMI Takes VEEV to About 14,000 Stores
BAT Rothmans says it previously considered exiting South Korea's vaping market because of competitive pressure from unregulated products, but is now reassessing conditions following changes to the country's nicotine regulatory framework. Vuse and other BAT vaping products remain available through existing distribution channels. The statement followed a South Korean media report that interpreted BAT's broader withdrawal from selected Vapour markets as a full exit from South Korea. Meanwhile, Philip Morris International launched VEEV inPRIME in the country in June and began expanding distribution to around 14,000 convenience stores and other retail channels in July. SnowPlus has introduced a nicotine-free version of DASH in South Korea, adapting an existing overseas disposable platform for the local market. The Korean version retains the series’ flat duckbill-style mouthpiece, ceramic heating architecture and disposable form factor while reducing nicotine content to 0%. By comparison, the overseas DASH 4000 platform typically features 7.5ml of prefilled e-liquid, up to 4,000 puffs and a 530mAh rechargeable battery, with nicotine-containing variants available in some markets.
