VPZ Opens New Store in Lanark with E-cigarette Recycling Service
VPZ opens new e-cigarette store in Lanark, offering recycling services to support UK government's environmental efforts.

According to a report by the Daily Record on September 12th, the well-known UK e-cigarette retailer VPZ has opened a new store in Lanark. The opening in the town also includes an e-cigarette recycling service, as part of its commitment to helping improve the local environment in the UK.


VPZ supports the UK government's plan to ban disposable e-cigarettes.


The director of VPZ, Doug Mutter, stated that


We are proud to open a store in Lanark and introduce our innovative recycling service to address the environmental issues caused by disposable e-cigarettes. We also offer affordable and reusable alternatives to support adult smoking cessation.


VPZ Lanark is set to benefit from a recent partnership between VPZ and WasteCare, which will see the rollout of a nationwide e-cigarette recycling service in the UK, open to all e-cigarette users.


VPZ Lanark specializes in e-cigarette products and is the 172nd store of this retailer.

China Discloses First Criminal Case Over Counterfeit Vapes Disguised as “Medical Nebulizers” and “Zero-Nicotine” Products
Chinese authorities have disclosed the country’s first reported criminal case involving counterfeit vapes marketed as “medical nebulizers” and “zero-nicotine” products. Authorities determined that the products involved were counterfeit vapes and pursued criminal charges for producing and selling counterfeit goods. According to the report, the case resulted in the seizure of 347,000 counterfeit vape pods and 53,700 vape devices, with physical goods valued at 22.13 million yuan.

According to Interfax-Ukraine, a study conducted by market research firm Kantar Ukraine at the request of major tobacco companies found that more than 93% of vape products in Ukraine did not fully comply with regulatory requirements. An Illinois court ordered three companies tied to Posh vapes to pay $20 million and permanently restricted the sale, marketing and distribution in Illinois of products lacking required FDA authorization. The consent order also imposes downstream distributor controls, age-verification measures and social-media marketing limits, creating a new state-level compliance benchmark for disposable vape businesses.
