15th Anniversary Celebration - Genuine E-Cigarettes in Jeju
Genuine Electronic Cigarettes in Jeju Island, South Korea celebrates its 15th anniversary with a series of gratitude events.

According to a report from Newstoday, a South Korean e-cigarette company called "Genuine Electronic Cigarettes" recently held a series of gratitude events on the occasion of its 15th anniversary.

 

Currently, Genuine electronic cigarettes have 11 directly operated stores in Jeju Island, including the new city center store, and more than 2000 sales outlets nationwide. Genuine electronic cigarettes meet customer demands by exclusively supplying the latest popular products from mainland China, such as the upgraded Hakka Signature product Airlix, J Korea, Cigaman, and Yongtrim. They also prioritize customer safety by conducting recalls and providing free replacements with the safest and newest models whenever there is an issue with product quality.

 

A representative of genuine electronic cigarettes said, "All of our stores are open year-round to improve customer convenience. Each store has a spacious parking lot for customers' convenience. We sell exclusive e-cigarette liquids from Jeju Island and are the first to introduce the latest devices. We have a wide range of the newest products." He added, "We have opened 11 stores in various corners of Jeju Island, becoming the headquarters of Vape Korea. We have launched the most popular e-cigarette liquid brands, Zap Juice and Markisa, thanks to the support of the islanders. This year marks our 15th anniversary, and we hope to show our appreciation for the support and favor we have received over the years through our 15th anniversary commemorative events."

 

In this 15th anniversary celebration event, genuine electronic cigarettes will offer a range of promotions, including: receiving a complimentary bottle of e-cigarette liquid for both the referrer and the purchaser when purchasing a device through a friend's referral; a price promotion on the latest e-cigarette liquid products, starting at 5,000 Korean won; and a 15% point redemption program as a gesture of appreciation.

U.S. Ninth Circuit Upholds FDA Denial of MH Global’s Flavored Vape PMTA Applications
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit upheld the FDA’s denial of MH Global LLC’s applications to market flavored electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS). The court ruled that FDA’s comparative-efficacy framework, which requires applicants to show that flavored products provide greater cessation or switching benefits than tobacco-flavored alternatives, is consistent with the Tobacco Control Act’s “appropriate for the protection of the public health” standard. The court also found that FDA was not required to establish the framework through notice-and-comment rulemaking.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced an expansion of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) restrictions that would prohibit Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) funds from being used to purchase tobacco and vaping products. The state will amend its TANF State Plan and submit the changes for federal approval. Florida officials said the restrictions would not affect eligibility for temporary cash assistance or the amount of benefits received, but would change how funds can be spent.

According to The Maritime Executive on August 19, 2026, the Australian Border Force (ABF) and China’s Anti-Smuggling Bureau of General Administration of China Customs worked together to dismantle an international illicit tobacco smuggling network targeting Australia. According to information released by ABF on August 20, sustained information sharing and cooperation led to investigations into 112 shipping containers, with 91 found to contain illicit tobacco. Authorities seized more than 60 million cigarettes and 60 kilograms of loose-leaf tobacco, representing more than A$92 million in unpaid duties. More than 60 people suspected of involvement in the network were arrested in China.

China’s Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute develops end-to-end heated tobacco analysis to trace aerosol compound origins
The Zhengzhou Tobacco Research Institute of China National Tobacco Corporation has filed a patent application for an end-to-end method to analyze the migration and transformation of chemical compounds in heated tobacco products. Using GC-Orbitrap/MS non-targeted analysis, the method compares tobacco substrate and aerosol samples to distinguish compounds transferred directly from the substrate from those newly formed during heating, while also calculating transfer rates. In an example involving nine heated tobacco products, the patent identified 17 newly formed thermal decomposition compounds and 38 transferred compounds.

Canadian Health Minister Marjorie Michel says she is not considering loosening retail restrictions on nicotine pouches. Canada regulates pouches containing 4 mg or less of nicotine per unit as non-prescription nicotine replacement therapy and requires newer NRT formats such as pouches to be sold from behind pharmacy counters. Meanwhile, Unsmoke Canada, linked to Philip Morris International's Canadian business, is pushing to allow pouches in convenience stores and other general retail outlets. Health Canada also acknowledges continued unauthorized sales, while recent research shows rising pouch use among Canadian youth aged 16 to 19.
