Brazilian Authorities Seize E-cigarettes in Crackdown Operation
Brazilian authorities successfully seize 250 e-cigarettes and related equipment in joint action against illegal trade.

According to a report from Brazilian media outlet Bahianoticias, the Department for Combating Corruption, Organized Crime, and Money Laundering (Draco) collaborated with the Police Bureau for Economic Crimes and Public Administration (Dececap) and the Department of Health Surveillance to successfully seize 250 e-cigarettes, 221 bottles of e-cigarette liquid, 98 e-cigarette vaporizers, and 2 e-cigarette chargers.

The operation, named "Vapor – Phase 2," was carried out in various regions in Brazil, including Salvador and Lauro de Freitas. Due to violations of regulations set by the Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency, administrative fines have been issued.

According to reports, the seized e-cigarette products will be destroyed, while various professional departments will continue to carry out similar joint actions to effectively crack down on the sale of e-cigarettes.
