Brazilian Congress to Vote on E-Cigarette Legislation Next Week
A bill on e-cigarettes will be on the agenda in the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies this week.

According to a report by Midianinja on June 10th, this week's agenda in the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies will also include a discussion on a bill regarding e-cigarettes.


In the Senate, the Committee on Economic Affairs (CAE) may vote on a bill to regulate e-cigarettes on Tuesday, the 11th.


In Brazil, Anvisa has prohibited the sale, import and advertising of these tobacco products since 2009.

Kumulus Vape has launched Labster, a 700 sq m production unit in the Lyon Metropolis near the group’s headquarters, for e-liquids and DIY concentrates. The site is equipped with automated lines supplied by CDA (Constructions d’Automatismes) to carry out bottling and labeling. Its theoretical capacity is described as several million bottles per year in 10–100 ml formats, and it is already operational.

2Firsts has learned that France’s national health authority, the Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS), confirmed the role of e-cigarettes will be addressed in updated national smoking-cessation guidelines expected by the end of 2026. HAS said the recommendations will focus on clinical and public-health considerations, will not set technical standards for vaping products, and that current studies are insufficient to clearly assess risks and benefits across different product categories.
