Brazilian Joint Police Crackdown on Paraguayan E-cigarette Smuggling
Brazilian traffic police, in collaboration with military police, crackdown on a smuggling case involving 965 e-cigarettes from Paraguay.

Brazilian traffic police, in collaboration with military police, cracked down on a smuggling case involving e-cigarettes from Paraguay, resulting in the seizure of a total of 965 smuggled e-cigarettes.

 

The smuggled goods were found in a vehicle, and the 42-year-old driver claimed that he was only hired to transport this batch of e-cigarettes from Marshall Candi Dragon Bell to the Dutorpedrinio area of Itatia Valley.

 

The driver and the smuggled goods have been taken to the Royal Federation Police Bureau in order to undergo further investigation.

Management said it would increase U.S. investment behind nicotine pouch brand ZYN, keep IQOS focused on volume before stronger pricing, and use SENTIA, DELIA, LEVIA, VEEV and ZYN to manage tax and regulatory pressure across Japan and Europe. South Korean lawmaker Jeong Jin-wook has again called for stronger government action against liquid synthetic nicotine vape manufacturers and sellers, alleging that some businesses may have avoided regulation through product labeling changes and corporate restructuring. According to Newsworks, JNILBO and other Korean reports, Jeong has held his third press conference on the issue, calling for a government-wide investigation. The dispute involves whether synthetic nicotine products should fall under tobacco regulations, tax implications and supply-chain transparency. South Korean government agencies have previously said some estimates of potential tax losses cannot be verified due to limited sales data.
