Brazil Police Seize 5,000 Illegal Vapes Linked to IGNITE Brand
Brazil’s Federal Highway Police seized approximately 5,000 illegal vaping devices branded as “IGNITE” in Mandaguaçu, Paraná state. The confiscated products will undergo inventory and investigation by the Federal Revenue Service.

Key Highlights:

·The Federal Highway Police (PRF) in the state of Parana in southern Brazil seized approximately 5,000 illegal e-cigarettes in the Mandaguaçu region. The confiscated products were marked with the brand "IGNITE.

·The suspect vehicle attempted to evade inspection, abandoned the vehicle and fled, the suspect has not been caught.

·The case has been handed over to the Brazilian Federal Revenue Service, and the official tally will be completed by them.

According to a report by Omaringa on April 22nd, the Federal Highway Police (PRF) in the Mandaguaçu area of the state of Paraná, Brazil, attempted to intercept a vehicle suspected of transporting contraband during a routine patrol. The vehicle entered the city area as it approached law enforcement officers and attempted to evade pursuit. After a brief tactical pursuit, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, and is currently evading capture by police.

 

Law enforcement officers discovered a large quantity of approximately 5,000 e-cigarette products inside a vehicle, with the confiscated products bearing the brand label "IGNITE." PRF stated in a press release that the specific inventory of these items will be completed by the Federal Revenue Service (Receita Federal), which will also be responsible for conducting further investigations and handling procedures.

 

The case has been officially registered and handed over to the tax department for processing according to procedures.
