According to a report by Omaringa on April 22nd, the Federal Highway Police (PRF) in the Mandaguaçu area of the state of Paraná, Brazil, attempted to intercept a vehicle suspected of transporting contraband during a routine patrol. The vehicle entered the city area as it approached law enforcement officers and attempted to evade pursuit. After a brief tactical pursuit, the driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot, and is currently evading capture by police.
Law enforcement officers discovered a large quantity of approximately 5,000 e-cigarette products inside a vehicle, with the confiscated products bearing the brand label "IGNITE." PRF stated in a press release that the specific inventory of these items will be completed by the Federal Revenue Service (Receita Federal), which will also be responsible for conducting further investigations and handling procedures.
The case has been officially registered and handed over to the tax department for processing according to procedures.
