Brazilian Authorities Seize 5,000 Illegal E-Cigarette Devices on Highway
Brazilian federal highway police (PRF) seized 5,000 e-cigarette devices in a joint operation with the federal tax authority on Feb. 12.

On February 13th, according to the Brazilian Federal Highway Police (PRF), PRF and the Federal Revenue Service worked together to intercept 5000 e-cigarette devices (DEF) in Guaira on the 12th. The seized products are suspected to bear the ELFBAR and IGNITE brand labels.

During an inspection of a truck transporting corn from Mato Grosso state to Santa Catarina state, law enforcement officers discovered a box containing e-cigarette devices hidden underneath the corn and covered with a waterproof tarp.

Currently, the driver is detained and charged with the crime of smuggling e-cigarettes.
