Brazilian Police Seize Over 2,410 Illegal E-Cigarettes in Operation
Brazilian police seized over 2,410 e-cigarettes worth $73,000 in a crackdown on illegal trade in Feira de Santana.

According to Bahianoticias, recently Brazilian police carried out an operation in Feira de Santana, seizing at least 2,410 e-cigarettes with a total value exceeding 400,000 reais (approximately 73,000 US dollars).


According to reports, this operation is part of Brazil's "Operation Smokescreen" aimed at cracking down on the growing illegal e-cigarette trade in the region. Four shops were inspected in this operation, and their owners may face charges related to endangering public health and smuggling.


According to the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), the use of e-cigarettes poses a significant risk to public health and violates current health regulations, potentially endangering customers in these establishments.
