Brazilian Pop Singer MC Loma Experiences Breathing Difficulties After Using E-Cigarette
Brazilian singer MC Loma reveals respiratory difficulties after long-term use of e-cigarettes, warns fans against using them.

Recently, according to a report from Midianews, Brazilian pop singer MC Loma revealed on her Instagram account that she has been experiencing difficulty breathing as a result of prolonged use of e-cigarettes. Despite having quit using them, her condition has not significantly improved and she now requires the use of an inhaler to breathe. She is urging her fans to refrain from using e-cigarettes.

More than 2,300 units of vape liquid worth over RM75,000 were seized during an integrated operation at premises in Likas near Kota Kinabalu. During Ops Taring Landai E-Cigarette Mega on Feb 10 night, the Marine Police, Sabah Health Department officials and district police detected a shop displaying 92 types of vape pods and, after further searches, found 2,353 units of vape liquid stored on the premises.

ACT Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith said the government would not ease its action against e-cigarettes and illicit tobacco and would continue strengthening regulation, legislation, and enforcement. Speaking at the launch of a new program to help young people quit vaping, she said reducing tobacco excise would not materially reduce profits in the illicit tobacco market.

Goldman Sachs Managing Director Bonnie Herzog said the U.S. nicotine market is attractive and growing, with total revenue projected to reach about $67 billion by 2035. She expects cigarettes to account for a smaller share of revenue (47%) as smoke-free revenue expands and becomes a key driver of industry profit growth. Herzog said smoke-free products represent about 48% of U.S. nicotine volumes today and could rise to roughly 75% by 2035.
