Brazilian Pop Singer MC Loma Experiences Breathing Difficulties After Using E-Cigarette
Brazilian singer MC Loma reveals respiratory difficulties after long-term use of e-cigarettes, warns fans against using them.

Recently, according to a report from Midianews, Brazilian pop singer MC Loma revealed on her Instagram account that she has been experiencing difficulty breathing as a result of prolonged use of e-cigarettes. Despite having quit using them, her condition has not significantly improved and she now requires the use of an inhaler to breathe. She is urging her fans to refrain from using e-cigarettes.

2Firsts has learned that France’s national health authority, the Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS), confirmed the role of e-cigarettes will be addressed in updated national smoking-cessation guidelines expected by the end of 2026. HAS said the recommendations will focus on clinical and public-health considerations, will not set technical standards for vaping products, and that current studies are insufficient to clearly assess risks and benefits across different product categories.

Radio Iowa reported that House Speaker Pat Grassley said House Republicans are wrestling with Gov. Kim Reynolds’ proposal to raise Iowa’s tax on tobacco products and impose a new 15% sales tax on vaping products. The findings, published in NEJM Evidence, represent a historic milestone in U.S. tobacco control efforts. Researchers noted that while cigarette smoking is decreasing, the prevalence of e-cigarette and cigar use remained largely unchanged, suggesting a shift in nicotine consumption rather than the elimination of tobacco use.

Haypp Group announced that net sales for October–December 2025 rose 15% year-on-year to SEK 1,052.2 million, or 19% in constant currency terms. The company recorded 28% volume growth in the nicotine pouch category during the quarter. The number of orders increased to 1.34 million, and active consumers rose to 630,000, marking the highest level in the company’s history. CEO Gavin O’Dowd said the company’s accelerating topline performance in the US and UK positions it for a strong 2026.
