Brazilian Pop Singer MC Loma Experiences Breathing Difficulties After Using E-Cigarette

Brazilian singer MC Loma reveals respiratory difficulties after long-term use of e-cigarettes, warns fans against using them.

Recently, according to a report from Midianews, Brazilian pop singer MC Loma revealed on her Instagram account that she has been experiencing difficulty breathing as a result of prolonged use of e-cigarettes. Despite having quit using them, her condition has not significantly improved and she now requires the use of an inhaler to breathe. She is urging her fans to refrain from using e-cigarettes.

Public lobbying disclosures show that Ecto World paid at least $300,000 for the work through June 30, 2026. Separately, New York State announced in March that more than 28,500 pounds of vaping products tied to the company had been seized, while New York City and the state have pursued legal or enforcement actions. A new Swedish study found oral mucosal lesions in 79% of examined nicotine pouch users and 89% of tobacco-derived snus users, with different tissue-response patterns between the two categories. For manufacturers and regulators, the findings shift attention toward product formulation, flavouring, pouch materials and local oral exposure, not only whether a product contains tobacco. The study found no higher prevalence of caries or periodontal disease, but it could not establish causality, long-term outcomes or differences between individual products or designs.

The UK’s Vaping Products Duty and Vaping Duty Stamps Scheme will take effect on October 1, 2026. All vaping liquids manufactured in or imported into the UK will face a flat excise duty of £2.20 per 10ml, whether or not they contain nicotine. Newly manufactured or imported products released onto the UK market from October 1 will require a valid duty stamp, while eligible existing unstamped inventory can continue to be sold through March 31, 2027. From April 1, 2027, all vaping products outside duty suspension must carry a valid stamp.
