Brazilian Pop Singer MC Loma Experiences Breathing Difficulties After Using E-Cigarette

Brazilian singer MC Loma reveals respiratory difficulties after long-term use of e-cigarettes, warns fans against using them.

Recently, according to a report from Midianews, Brazilian pop singer MC Loma revealed on her Instagram account that she has been experiencing difficulty breathing as a result of prolonged use of e-cigarettes. Despite having quit using them, her condition has not significantly improved and she now requires the use of an inhaler to breathe. She is urging her fans to refrain from using e-cigarettes.

According to PMI and official IQOS websites, VEEV inPrime began a phased European rollout between May and June 2026, with products now available in Greece, Estonia, the United Kingdom and Italy.

China-based Hunan China Tobacco Industry Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Baisha Technology Co., Ltd. have filed a patent application covering an adult-user identification mechanism for heated tobacco devices. The patent proposes using flexible pressure sensors installed in the device grip area to collect pressure distribution patterns generated when users hold the device. The system evaluates factors including effective contact area, grip shape and contact duration, and combines roller movement detection to determine whether unlocking conditions are met. The filing reflects exploration of device-level user recognition and smarter interaction technologies for heated tobacco products (HTPs).

Chinese authorities have disclosed the country’s first reported criminal case involving counterfeit vapes marketed as “medical nebulizers” and “zero-nicotine” products. Authorities determined that the products involved were counterfeit vapes and pursued criminal charges for producing and selling counterfeit goods. Switzerland Tightens Vape Checks as Only 3 of 32 Tested Products Meet New Tobacco Rules

According to Swiss media outlet Blick, local authorities are strengthening compliance checks on vape products, nicotine pouches and other tobacco-related products following the implementation of Switzerland’s revised Tobacco Products Act. A Basel laboratory tested 32 disposable vapes and e-liquids, with only three meeting regulatory requirements and 21 products banned from sale. Swiss authorities are also expanding retail inspections, laboratory testing and youth purchase checks to enforce the new tobacco and nicotine product rules.
