Imperials Brands Stocks Fall Due to UK E-cigarette Tax
British tobacco stocks hit by e-cigarette tax; FTSE 100 slightly down 1.28 points to 7683.02. Imperials Brands sees biggest drop.

According to a report by the UK media outlet Standard, British tobacco stocks have been affected by the tax on e-cigarettes. The UK's FTSE 100 index fell slightly by 1.28 points, or 0.02%, to 7683.02 points.

Empire Brand experienced the largest drop in stock price of the day, falling by approximately 5%. Reports have suggested that the UK government is considering announcing a new tax on e-cigarettes in next week's budget announcement.

According to analysis, this recent drop did not have a significant impact on the overall market trend. Despite the minor decline, it does reflect the subtle changes in the current market.
