Italian Police Seize Illegal E-Cigarettes at Vaping Expo
Italian police have seized over 800 illegal disposable e-cigarettes and e-liquids at the "Vaping Expo" held in Padova.

According to a report by Italian media outlet Padovaoggi, the Italian police conducted an inspection of the e-cigarette exhibition, known as "Vaping Expo," held at the Padova Exhibition Center in Italy from November 25th to November 26th.

 

During the inspection, the Italian police seized over 800 illegally imported disposable e-cigarettes and related e-liquids. The case involves four e-cigarette industry professionals, including three Chinese nationals and one British citizen.

 

Reportedly, these businessmen were showcasing disposable e-cigarettes at their booths without the corresponding compliance markings, and as a result, they will face administrative penalties.

BAT New Zealand Says Illicit Tobacco Trade Drove Nearly 29% Revenue Decline in 2025
British American Tobacco New Zealand said the illicit tobacco trade is responsible for its profit halving and revenue falling between the 2024 and 2025 financial years. Financial results filed with the Companies Office show that BAT Holdings (New Zealand) recorded 2025 revenue of NZ$180.7 million, or about US$106.95 million based on the European Central Bank’s April 27, 2026 reference rates, down from NZ$254 million, or about US$150.33 million, in 2024.

Namibia is moving to tighten regulation of e-cigarettes and other emerging nicotine products as part of broader tobacco control efforts. Data from convenience insight agency Talysis shows that the value of tobacco, vapes and smoking alternatives in the independent convenience sector fell by 4.4% in the first quarter of 2026, while volume fell by 7.8%.
