According to The Moodie Davitt Report, Japan Tobacco International (JTI) has appointed veteran executive Olesja Flores as General Manager, Global Travel Retail.
The report said Flores has more than 25 years of experience at JTI and has held senior commercial and market management roles across Europe, including in Lucerne, Geneva, Copenhagen and Vilnius.
Before the appointment, Flores most recently served as General Manager for JTI’s Swiss market, a position she held for more than three and a half years.
Under the new arrangement, Flores will be based in Dubai and will lead JTI’s global travel retail business. Announcing the move on LinkedIn, she said she would be heading to Dubai to begin a new chapter, describing the city as a hub of innovation and rapid growth that suits the fast-moving travel retail channel, adding that she would get to work immediately.
