According to Alborsaa News on June 4th, recently Japan Tobacco International (JTI) Egypt welcomed the Japanese Ambassador to Egypt, Hiroshi Oka, at its "Palm Smoke" facility in Menoufia Province, Egypt. The visit aimed to highlight Japan's significant investments in Egypt and emphasize the company's commitment to supporting the local community through its corporate social responsibility initiatives, as well as its partnership with The Harp of David Development Foundation.


JTI Egypt CEO Mariana Magdy stated,


We are honored today to receive Ambassador Okoshi, to reaffirm our continued commitment to supporting the community and Egyptian market. Our investments go beyond our business operations, aiming to drive community development and support local initiatives... As a key player in the Egyptian market, we strive to embody these values through our daily transactions, both within the company and at the factory. Therefore, we see our partnership with the David H. Lira Development Foundation as a broader, larger scope for us, it is a living example of the support and investment provided by the Japanese government as a support to JTI Company, thereby impacting the Egyptian economy.


The Japanese Ambassador to Egypt, Hiroshi Oka, stated that


I appreciate Japan Tobacco International's (JTI) contributions to the Egyptian economy, and I am honored to celebrate the achievements of this important project aimed at supporting women in the province of Menoufia. I want to thank Japan Tobacco International (JTI) and the David Livera Development Foundation for their great efforts in empowering women and developing Egypt.
